Welkom bij de CraftaScope Monthly Blog Hop van september. Deze keer heeft Jane het thema bedacht. Omdat CraftaScope de afgelopen tijd hele mooie producten heeft uitgebracht om bloemen te maken, leek het haar leuk om Bloemen als thema te doen.
Welcome to the CraftaScope Monthly Blog Hop from September. This time Jane came up with the theme. Because CraftaScope has recently launched very beautiful products to make flowers, she thought it would be fun to use Flowers as a theme.
Ik heb deze maand een pagina voor mijn art journal gemaakt. Onlangs is mijn moeder overleden. Ik heb vlinders uit haar weekkalender gestanst van een week waarin we samen een high tea hebben gedaan ;). Een mooie herinnering aan een hele gezellige zonnige middag samen.
This month I made a page for my art journal. Recently my mother passed away. I cut out butterflies from her weekly calendar of a week in which we had a high tea together. A nice reminder of a very nice sunny afternoon together.
Ik schilderde met aquarelverf eerst een bloem (tulpachtig). Daaroverheen stempelde ik de bloemen en de bladeren met stempels uit de stempelset Floral Companions. De tekst in de achtergrond komt uit een Stampin’Up stempelset. Ik ponste de vlinders uit en gaf ze wat kleur zodat ze er beter bij zouden passen. Daarna heb ik het stencil Flower Flurry en shimmery white embossingpaste gebruikt voor de bloemen in de linkeronder- en rechterbovenhoek. En vanaf nu zal ik iedere keer als ik door m’n art journal blader toch weer even denken aan die fijne high tea die we samen hadden.
I first painted a flower with watercolorpaint (tulip-like). Over that I stamped the flowers and the leaves with stamps from the Floral Companions stamp set. The text in the background comes from a Stampin’Up stamp set. I punched the butterflies and gave them some color so that they would fit better in the design. Then I used the Flower Flurry stencil and shimmery white embossing paste for the flowers in the bottom left and top right corner. And from now on, every time I browse through my art journal, I will remember that nice high tea we had together.
