Het is herfst! Buiten regent het, dus binnen blijven, vind ik dat erg??? Nee natuurlijk niet! Het is prachtig weer om lekker technieken uit te proberen, of nog eens een keer te kijken hoe mooi dat Clarity design papier ook alweer is, en plannetjes uit te werken voor workshops. En vandaag is het tijd voor de CraftaScope monthly blog hop, ook in herfstsfeer. Jane kan deze maand niet meedoen, ze heeft het hartstikke druk, maar, we hebben een nieuwe deelnemer! Bryan heeft een heel eigen stijl, superleuk, nieuwe inspiratie. Ik hoop dat hij heel vaak mee gaat doen.
It’s autumn! It’s raining outside, so we stay inside more, do I find that annoying? No of course not! It is beautiful weather to try out nice techniques, or to look again how beautiful that Clarity design paper is, and to work out plans for workshops. And today it is time for the CraftaScope monthly blog hop, also in autumnal atmosphere. Jane cannot participate this month, she is very busy, but we have a new participant! Bryan has a unique style, beautiful, new inspiration. I hope he will participate very often.
Het thema van deze maand is herfstbladeren/herfstkleuren. Gisteren zag ik een leuke nieuwe techniek op YouTube en wilde dit graag proberen. Ik heb wat stap voor stap foto’s gemaakt en op de Facebook pagina van Stempel Hotspot Zaandam staat een link naar het filmpje.
This month’s theme is fall leaves / fall colors. Yesterday I saw a nice new technique on YouTube and wanted to try this. I made some step by step photos and on the Facebook page of Stempel Hotspot Zaandam there is a link to the video.
Ik begon met het zoeken van een herfstkleurenpalet en zocht tussen mijn inkt naar kleuren die erop lijken.
I started looking for an autumn color palette and searched my ink for colors that resemble it.
Door de CraftaScope stencils Weeping Willow en Flower Flurry op glossy cardstock door de Bigshot te draaien maakte ik een reliefachtergrond.
I used the CraftaScope stencils Weeping Willow and Flower Flurry, glossy cardstock and the Bigshot to make a relief background.
En daar heb ik met een penseel herfstkleuren aan gegeven.
And I gave it fall colors with a brush.
Met deze achtergronden heb ik 2 kaarten gemaakt. Omdat ik de achtergronden de hoofdrol wilde geven heb ik de kaarten verder eenvoudig gehouden. De teksten komen uit de CraftaScope stempelsets Such a card en Retro Vibes.
With these backgrounds I made 2 cards. Because I wanted to give the backgrounds the leading role, I kept the cards simple. The texts come from the CraftaScope stamp sets Such a card and Retro Vibes.
Ik heb geprobeerd het glanzen van het papier op de foto te krijgen, dat lukte niet, jammer, want het glanzen maakt het toch een stukje mooier. Ik hoop dat jullie m’n kaarten mooi vinden. Ik heb een nieuwe techniek geleerd en er een heerlijke middag door gehad. Ik nodig je uit nu door te hoppen naar Bryan via de next knop, ik ben heel benieuwd wat hij heeft gemaakt.
I tried to get the shine of the paper in the photo, that didn’t work, too bad, because the shine makes it a bit nicer. I hope you like my cards.
